• Eliminates the need for skilled internal IT staff and associated costs. We provide a simple and effective cost structure – you only pay for the data you store.

Computer Land’s Email Solutions includes email filtering by an integrated hardware and software based Spam and Virus Firewall hosted at the Computer Land Data Centre. On a typical day, the firewall positively identifies and removes over 95% of total emails received as spam before they reach your network and computers, and significantly reduces the risk of potential threats infiltrating through email. Computer Land Firewall provides protection in following areas:

2.1 Hosted Mail Solutions

Computer Land’s Hosted Mail Solutions allows users to receive and manage e-mail, calendar entries, meeting requests, and access contact information regardless of their location. Contents of a Mail Box can be easily synchronized between the Exchange Server at Computer Land’s Data Centre and across several types of user devices (Desktop, laptop, PDA or from any computer with Web Mail). This capability greatly improves worker productivity and facilitates 24-7 staff communication. Computer Land offers two robust solutions for businesses already using, or wanting to migrate to, a Hosted Mail environment. Computer Land’s Hosted Mail Solutions do not require you to purchase any server hardware or applications and Computer Land manages the technology.

2.1.1 Exchange Lite

The Exchange Lite service is best suited for small and medium organisations. All benefits of a Hosted Mail environment with a simple per mail box price structure and generous 2GB Server Space for your data (per mail box) are included.

2.1.2 Exchange Premium

Exchange Premium service is recommended for organisations with over 50 employees. A fully managed dedicated Exchange Server will be allocated exclusively for your private domain name at Computer Land’s Data Centre. You are not required to purchase the server or associated software. A simple price structure with a fixed monthly rate and storage capacity greater than 2GB (per mail box) is offered depending on your needs.

2.2 Basic Mail Solutions

Basic Mail utilises traditional POP3 & IMAP4 protocols to deliver mail to your computer. Basic Mail does not provide collaboration features however, Computer Land offers Data Centre based backup for emails as a value-added service.
