Disaster Recovery Planning
Data security is an essential component of every organisation’s IT infrastructure. Data security prevents data loss that can result from an act of nature, accident, theft, or sabotage. For most businesses today, loss of data integrity could mean loss of irreplaceable business intelligence which could ultimately determine business continuation.
Your business faces the daily challenge of keeping your IT infrastructure secure and functioning. You must have an effective data security solution to deal with any data loss. It is an insurance you can’t afford to be without!
Computer Land’s Data Security and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) solutions are scalable to suit any organisation. We remove the ‘doubt’ from data backup processes and replace it with confidence. Implementing DRP policies and procedures based on your unique business environment and strategic goals is an essential step to ensure business continuity. Such measures enable the management to concentrate on core business by removing itself from mundane (yet critical) activities that most teams are not familiar with or require specialised skills.
1.1 Remote Backup Solutions (RBS)
Your data security insurance policy - With Computer Land RBS, your data is stored in Computer Land’s secure Data Centre as a primary backup or as a secondary redundant measure as part of your critical business continuity plan. Computer Land’s RBS is a completely autonomous process which will backup pre-defined folders from your Servers or Workstations through a secure private and encrypted tunnel to Computer Land’s secure Data Centre.
Reduce your IT costs - - You are no longer required to purchase expensive backup servers or drives, manually handle tapes and store them off site. The entire process is fully automated by Computer Land. Backups can be scheduled to be real-time, hourly, daily or weekly, depending on your needs. Computer Land can store multiple data sets (for example 5x sets for each work day) as well as archived data – it’s up to you and you only pay for the space you use.
Computer Land is serious about your data security. We take three critical steps to ensure your confidential data is safe while it’s in our care.
- First, your organisation is allocated a dedicated drive volume (space) on our Servers which means your data is not stored with other organisations data.
- Second, all our hard drives use ‘disk based encryption’ technology which means your data is stored in an encrypted form on our Servers.
- And our third measure ensures that your data is safe while it is being transported between your Servers/ Computers and Computer Land Data Centre. Our specialised backup software uses 256 bit encryption
1.2 Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) Audits
Tailored solutions to your business model which can grow with your needs - Computer Land works with you to understand your business, strategic and operational goals and to assess the level of protection your business requires. Computer Land then provides a comprehensive analysis report with DRP recommendations and alternatives to ensure full continuity of your business in case of a disaster.
1.3 Security Audits
Risk Management controls - Security Audits are an essential process designed to protect your confidential data and privacy. Regular Security Audits can protect your business from litigation risks, management embarrassment as well as losing competitive advantage due to ‘information leaks’ either accidentally or as an act of sabotage. Computer Land can analyse your Network, Servers, Workstations, Intranet or Web Site for security vulnerabilities (that can result from spy or Trojan software) and ensure what’s meant to be confidential, remains confidential.
1.4 Hot Desk Solutions
We keep you running - If your business is in a situation where your IT systems are lost or damaged due to any reason (natural disasters, fire, theft), Computer Land provides a hot desk solution (Working Space, Network/ Internet connectivity, Server Space, Workstations) for your IT department to provide essential services until such time your own facilities are re-built and become fully operational.
